Sophie Garner is a singer, song writer and voice teacher. She started out her career as an actress, which has equipped her with a tremendous personality on stage for her first love of singing. She was fortunate enough to perform with the National Youth Theatre in London’s West End working with the late Lionel Bart in a production of ‘Maggie May.’ She then went on to star in a comedy farce at Greenwich Theatre alongside Matt Lucas who went on to become award winning writer and star of ‘Little Britain’.

Sophie has been singing Jazz and rhythm 'n' Blues and Soul professionally since 1992 and in 1998 was awarded runner-up in the highly prestigious Perrier Young Jazz Vocalist of the Year competition.

Sophie has performed at hundreds of jazz clubs, festivals and concerts across England and Europe Radio and Television appearances include Jazz FM, Talk Sport, Hey Now-Anglo-Polish radio, BBC Foyle radio, DTR-Derry, BBC Television, Carlton, Sky television, BBC Wales, Channel 4 and ‘BBC Breakfast’
Sophie has released 4 recordings to date and is due to release her debut solo album in 2008.
