If you are a key worker you may be eligible for help to buy your first home or to move into a family home. Opportunities are also available to rent homes at affordable prices.

Key workers who may be eligible are:

• qualified teachers in schools and in further education and sixth form colleges
• social workers, educational psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and rehabilitation officers for the visually impaired
• uniformed staff in the Fire and Rescue Service (below principal level)
• planning officers
• qualified nursery nurses

If you are employed by Herfordshire County Council, in one of the above positions, you may be able to benefit from an equity loan, shared ownership, new build homebuy or intermediate renting.

If you are on a temporary contract you may still be eligible.
