Relocation Scheme

Moving house can be both trying and costly and is one of the main considerations in any career move that requires a change in work location, especially when you have a partner and family to think about.

In recognition of this and of the high price of property in Hertfordshire, the County Council offers financial assistance to eligible candidates towards the cost of moving home.

We only offer the scheme for selected vacancies, which are identified as 'hard to fill'. You will know if the scheme is being offered, as it will be included in the job advert.

The County Council offers three different types of relocation package - general, shortage skills, and special. Please note that the shortage skills package is not available to all key workers; only those that are classified as shortage skills (e.g. qualified social workers).
