Performance Management Scheme

We have one basic performance management scheme, which each department has adapted to meet their needs. The scheme is based on our belief that all employees work best when they are well managed. This includes having the opportunity to meet individually with their manager, at least twice each year to:


  • Review the work they have been doing and what they have achieved
  • Look back at the development opportunities they have had, and the learning gained from them
  • Agree on the main areas of work for the coming year
  • Identify further development needs and how they are to be met


In addition to these review and planning meetings, we encourage all our managers to talk with, and meet regularly with their staff, both individually and as a team. In our care services there is a requirement for managers to have monthly supervision meetings to look at issues and any problems arising from their work with clients.
