Induction

Every HCC employee is entitled to time when they start their new job to:

• Meet the main people they will be working with
• Get to know their place of work
• Find out more about the job they will be expected to do
• Learn about the service area they will be working in - either face to face with the public, or as supporting staff
• Understand the structure of HCC, our purpose and what we actually do and care about
• Find out what benefits we offer as an employer and what support we provide
• Get started on their work without feeling judged and under pressure


Your induction is organised by the department in which you are working. We also have a much-praised induction CD-ROM that you can work through at your own pace to cover areas that are common to everyone across HCC.
