Developing You
Underlying Principles of the Learning and Development at Children, Schools and Families.
There are a number of underlying principles that shape and inform the framework of the Learning and Development Strategy:
- Everyone has responsibility for identifying their individual development needs with their manager using CSF core and professional competencies.
- Each manager, and therefore the organisation as a whole, has
responsibility for supporting us in our development through supervision and Performance Management and Development (PM & D).
- CSF as an organisation recognises that we will have learning and development needs.
- Each year, through the CSF and Unit Planning processes, the service will identify learning and development needs.
- Our service will guarantee we have an entitlement to access a minimum of two days learning and development opportunities each year based on our PM& D interviews.
- All major, new CSF initiatives will be preceded by learning and development support.
- CSF is committed to providing appropriate opportunities for us to attain qualifications by participating in accredited learning and development events.
- CSF recognises that development comes from supervision, coaching, shadowing opportunities as well as training courses.
- All CSF Learning and Development activities will be continuously monitored and evaluated.
These underlying principles enable us to develop a process for
identifying, clarifying and meeting our individual and team learning and development needs within the context of CSF.
