Everyone who works for Hertfordshire County Council Adult Care Services has an important personal contribution to make towards the provision of high quality care services for the people of this county.
As a department, we do not underestimate the importance of ensuring people are appropriately managed and supported.
It is therefore vital that each member of staff is operating within an environment where individual performance is managed effectively and purposefully, and where opportunities are provided for everyone to identify and develop the skills they need to do their job well.
In a world where traditional career patterns are changing quite dramatically, it is also going to become increasingly important that the Department promotes a flexible and proactive learning culture, in which staff are encouraged and assisted to plan their own career development.
