Specialist Fostering Manager

You will manage and develop a Specialist Fostering Service in order to provide a safe and co-ordinated service for children and young people with complex and challenging behaviour. You will ensure that the recruitment and support of carers complies with National Minimum Standards. You will also be required to develop a service providing fostering placements for teenagers, remand and young people with drug-related problems. Carrying out duties in accordance with the GSCC code of practice for Social Care workers, the role requires a Dip SW or equivalent Social Work qualification plus NVQ Level 4 in Management or equivalent or willingness to commence NVQ Level 4 within 6 months of appointment. Peripatetic Registration Officer
£21,412 - £23,749 PA

As a Peripatetic Registration Officer you will be required to register births, still-births, deaths, and civil partnerships. You will also take notices of marriage and civil partnerships and perform celebratory ceremonies, such as marriages, civil partnerships, baby namings and re-affirmation of vows. In the peripatetic position, you will work from offices in the east of the county, sometimes at short notice - travelling around the county to provide cover for absent registration staff. For the role you must have excellent customer care, decision making and presentation skills, although registration experience is not required as full training will be given.
