Hudnall Park

Hudnall Park is a large country estate set in 85 acres of broad leaf woodland and meadow, located between Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted.

The Centre offers both residential and day visit outdoor and environmental courses for school groups, from reception age to A’ level Geography and Biology students. Out of term time family and adult learning courses take place.

A day in the life of a Hudnall Park tutor:

At Hudnall Park groups are allocated a dedicated tutor for the duration of their stay. You might therefore be meeting a class for a day visit or be teaching a class of children you have led all week.

Your day will begin with organising your classroom and the equipment and resources you need. The activities you teach will depend on what you have agreed with the group leader during earlier meetings or telephone calls, but could range from a local river study and freshwater dipping to art activities or orienteering and problem solving.

As well as teaching there are a variety of other tasks essential to keeping the Centre running. These will range from developing teaching resources to supervising the children to their rooms on arrival, or carrying out safety checks.
