Consultation on School Admissions Arrangements for 2009–2010

The public consultation is now closed. Hertfordshire Admissions is consulting on the admission arrangements for community and voluntary-controlled schools for 2009-2010 which proposes to change:

(i) the way the continuing interest process is run,
(ii) the arrangements for in-year admissions to community and voluntary controlled secondary schools, and
(iii) the current admissions process for nursery classes and maintained nursery schools.

The consultation also seeks feedback on the admission rules, schemes of co-ordination for primary and secondary schools, the published admission numbers together with sixth form arrangements.

Deadline for responses is 15th February 2008.

Please note that Early Years are also consulting widely among early years providers, parents and carers on the process for applying for a nursery place in a maintained sector nursery class or school, and the dates when children could start nursery and reception class.
