Consultation on Relevant areas for 2005-2006 admissions (Archived Document)

Hertfordshire County Council is currently consulting on Relevant Areas which will be set for all Hertfordshire schools for the 2005-2006 school year. These are the areas within which each Admission Authority will need to consult on its proposed admission rules.

The aim of the proposed changes is to ensure that consultation is more sensitive to local circumstances and to reduce the bureaucratic burden on schools. After taking regard of the advice of the Hertfordshire Admission Forum, the County Council has concluded that the arrangements for consultation on admissions will be improved with the adoption of 21 Relevant Areas in Hertfordshire rather than maintaining a single area covering the whole of the county. No change has been made to the total area covered and none of the proposed areas extend into neighbouring LEAs’ areas.

Below is the downloadable consultation booklet, and response form.

The last date for responding is 31 December 2003.
