Every year we are required to consult on the proposed admission rules for community and voluntary controlled schools.

We are not proposing any major changes in the arrangements for nursery, infant, junior or primary schools for the year beginning September 2003. The two proposed changes are to :-

Give priority to children who have brothers or sisters already at the school or linked school regardless of their age.

Ensure that at least 10% of places are made available to the children who live closest to the school.

The closing date for this statutory consultation is 1 March. The County Council would very much like to hear your views.
