Asking questions at council meetings

Any member of the public who is a resident or registered local government elector of Hertfordshire may put questions at full meetings of the County Council to the Leader and to Cabinet members about any matter over which the Council has power, or which directly affects the County.

Such questions must be given in writing to the County Secretary at County Hall Hertford at least 10 clear calendar days before the meeting. On the day the questioner may also ask a supplementary question which may be answered orally, or in writing within 7 days.

There is no provision to ask questions at meetings other than full Council.
