How to become a cycle instructor

We are always looking for new recruits to help us with cycle training. You could be the person we need.

Are you?

  • A competent cyclist easily able to ride at level 3 of the National Standards
  • Someone who enjoys teaching children and adults

Do you have?

  • Good in depth knowledge of the Highway Code and road rules
  • Good command of the English language, written and spoken
  • Excellent communication skills

Can you?

  • Be available for complete weeks between 9.00am and 4.00pm
  • Travel throughout the county

Hertfordshire County Council is an accredited National Standard Cycle Instructor Training Provider. We run courses for people to become nationally accredited cycle instructors.
