One to one cycle training for adults

Would you like to learn how to ride a bicycle, or to boost your confidence out on the road?If so, we have qualified instructors to help you with one to one sessions that suit individual needs.

The cost is usually between £25 and £35, depending on the length of the session. The number of sessions is determined by you and the instructor once your abilities have been assessed. An instructor can train two people at a time, so you may prefer be trained with a friend.

All you need to do is choose a convenient date and time, and the instructor will normally meet you at your home and carry out the training in your locality.

You will need a bicycle that is in good repair. However if you would like to learn before you go and buy a bicycle we may be able to provide one for you to use.

Instructors will show you how to check that the bicycle is safe to ride and will help adjust it to fit you correctly. They may be able to make minor adjuctments to enable you to ride but you should not expect them to make major repairs.

You will also need a helmet.

Instructors may ask you to sign a consent form, and they will need to know of any medical condition that may effect your riding. Please also make them aware of any special needs you might have so that you can get the most out of the training.

There are a series of self assessment questions in the form below - these will help both you and your instructor work out what you need to learn.
