In view of the Lord Woolf Reforms of the Civil Justice System a letter of claim needs to contain certain information. The onus is upon you (the claimant) to prove negligence and there is no automatic right to compensation. Without the information listed below we will be unable to process your claim.
- Name of Claimant(s)
- Address of Claimant(s)
- Date and time of incident
- Exact location, map/sketch plan showing relevant land marks and, if taken, photographs of the alleged defect and surrounding area
- Name and address of any witness
- Were any particulars taken by the police? If so please provide details i.e. log number, Officer’s number and Police Station
- Details of injury and or damage to your property
- Quotes/Invoices for any work that had to be undertaken as a direct result of your incident
