Events and publicity

A number of Hertfordshire companies support transport events throughout the year, and these can be the ideal way to get the sustainable transport message across to staff in a lively atmosphere.

Herts TravelWise has posters and some other publicity materials available for local businesses and organisations.

Current poster designs emphasise the health benefits of walking for short distances. They can be linked with other health initiatives in the workplace and the messages will be familiar from bus backs, parking tickets and posters in hospitals and doctor’s surgeries.

Copies of these and posters on using public transport, homeworking and car sharing are available to Hertfordshire organisations from lilian.goldberg@hertscc.gov.uk.
