How can I find out more about an application?
The letters and notices will tell you where you can inspect the documents that have been submitted.
They will also explain how and by when you can make your views known, whether you wish to make a general comment or whether you have strong views either in support of a proposed development or against it.
Who is consulted on Planning Applications?
Whenever applications are submitted to Hertfordshire County Council, where applicable, the District or Borough Council or the local Parish or Town Council are ‘consultees’. There is also a range of other agencies and bodies who will be consulted about various aspects of the proposed development. This means that they will have been asked to make their views known formally to the County Council so that they can be taken into account when the application is decided. The District or Borough Council does not itself grant or refuse planning permission for development where the County Council is the Planning Authority.
