The Hertfordshire Environmental Strategy

We cannot isolate ourselves from the physical environment. We are completely dependent on the resources of the planet to sustain our lives. Yet much of our everyday activity damages and degrades the same natural resources on which we rely.

Concerted action is necessary to draw together the two strands of natural development and environmental management in order that we can hand on to future generations a world that is at least as rich in resources as we now enjoy.
