Sports lighting

Sports and area lighting should be designed to provide the required standard of illumination for the playing surface while still meeting the requirements laid down in section 3 of this Policy. A curfew should be imposed wherever possible, with lights being turned off when not in use.

It may be appropriate to consider the use of fold-down or collapsible masts or towers, so that these features can be removed from the landscape when they are not in use.
