Open Access Land in Hertfordshire

open access landThere are 30-40 significant open access sites in Hertfordshire. The best of these are described below together with information about how to get there and where to go for further information. In almost all the cases the sites are owned and managed by an organisation other than the County Council.

For those who are interested in any of the sites that are open access a spreadsheet has now been added below that provides some basic information such as size, location, ownership (where public).

If you have any queries regarding access on these sites feel free to contact the local Countryside Access Officer on 01992 555279. More general information about access to the countryside can be found on the national Countryside Access website (link at right).
