Emergencies
Adult Care Services emergency service
If you, or the person you are concerned about, are already in contact with a mental health service, you can call the service direct. There will be a telephone number on the appointment card, or on any letters from them.
If you think that someone may be a risk to themselves or to others, you can approach the police for help.
In an out of office hours social care emergency, please contact the

Children's Services emergency service
In an out of office hours emergency relating to children and their families please contact us on 0300 123 4043.

Fire stations: in case of emergencies always dial
999 and ask for

Hospitals: if an ambulance is needed in an emergency situation always dial
999. All general hospitals provide a 24 hour Accident and Emergency service which is for life-threatening situations such as a heart attack or stroke and for the care of people who show the symptoms of serious illness or who are badly injured.
