Resource Centres, equipment exhibitions & demonstrations

Basic equipment can be purchased via the Hertfordshire Resource Centres, where occupational therapists can help you to find the best equipment for your needs. If a specific piece of equipment or minor adaptation is recommended following an assessment, staff will order the item(s) through the Hertfordshire Equipment Service, whose technicians will deliver and fit it as required.

Hertfordshire Action on Disability holds a wide range of equipment, which can be purchased, at their showroom in Welwyn Garden City. A mobile equipment and information service also visits all areas of Hertfordshire with a selection of items.

Hertfordshire Hearing Advisory Service and Hertfordshire Society for the Blind also demonstrate and provide specialist equipment.
