Living with a disability

Access ABILITY

Hertfordshire County council has produced a CD-ROM, called Access ABILITY, to promote its partnership working with other organisations, aiming to improve employment opportunities for disabled people in Hertfordshire.

It emphasises the abilities of disabled people and lets businesses, large and small, know about the different kinds of advice and support available for disabled workers and their employers.

Access ABILITY
  • features individual people with various disabilities talking about their working lives, and employers talking about their experiences of taking on disabled people
  • highlights the information, support, advice and funding available in Hertfordshire to assist employers in recruiting, retaining and developing the potential of employees with disabilities.
The CD-ROM, which has subtitles, visual voice over and British Sign Language Interpretation making it fully accessible to people with disabilities, is available to all businesses and organisations in Hertfordshire.
