Living with a disability

A place to live

If you are disabled, or become disabled, your home may be unsuitable for everyday living. You may be able to adapt it to meet your particular needs, or you may need to look for alternative accommodation (rented, bought or shared).

In these situations, the local housing department (district council) and social care services (county council) can work together with you to find a solution.

If you happen to want to move, or you become homeless, you can also ask for advice and assistance with your particular disability needs.
