Care in your own home

Home care services may include anything from light housework to personal and nursing care.

This may be provided by the county council's Adult Care Services department. You can contact Adult Care Services to request an assessment of your needs and situation, whether you have a disability or are caring for someone who has.

You can also contact commercial home care agencies which offer a variety of help at home.

Some voluntary groups provide a short breaks service, where a volunteer will come and sit with someone, giving their carer a break.

Carers in Hertfordshire can also provide information and support to Carers.
