Would you like to know whether a particular service or facility has adapted toilets, access to upper floors, steps to get into the building or an induction loop? Access guides that provide this information have been produced in some areas of Hertfordshire.
Watford Borough Council and St Albans District Council both have online guides which are updated regularly. Select the link called 'DisabledGo' on the right of this page. The guide for each area covers everything from access to hotels, shops, swimming pools, dentists, banks and restaurants. It gives detailed information about locations, parking, outside and inside access, access to other floors and toilets.
Welwyn and Hatfield Access Group have also produced a guide to services in Hatfield (you can find details in the link below).
You can also search for information on accessible venues by selecting the link to the 'Direct Enquiries' website (on the right of this page).
If you would like to see an access guide for your area, contact your local access group (details in the link below) to find out if there are any plans to produce or update a guide. Alternatively, contact your local district or borough council. For details select the link called 'Which district am I in?' (on the right of this page).
