Taking your driving test

The driving test is made up of two parts: a theory test and a practical.

When you apply you should make it clear to the Driving Standards Agency what your needs will be. (See the link under 'External links' on this page.) For example, when taking your theory test, you may have difficulty in using the touch screen computer and mouse, or you may need to attend a more accessible test centre.

During the practical test, you will be allowed additional time to tell the instructor about any adaptations to your vehicle.

Deaf people can have an interpreter with them.
