Parking in London
The Association of London Government has published the Public Information Exchange (PIE) street atlas. This incorporates a full street index, as well as the location of all Blue Badge parking bays, bays on red routes, and all car parking and petrol stations in London. Parking facilities have been categorised by accessibility and cost. The atlas can be obtained from bookstores or viewed online. See the 'Parking for Blue Badges' external link on this page.

Disabled drivers can register for exemption from congestion charges in London. Select the link called 'Transport for London - Congestion charging'.

Red routes also exist in central London where no parking or stopping is allowed, except at designated times. Vehicles can stop to drop off or pick up a disabled person and there are marked spaces for disabled parking. Penalties for parking infringements are stricter on red routes than on normal routes.

Transport Policy
The Dept for Transport website has information about transport policies for disabled people. (Select the link called 'Department for Transport', then choose the link called 'Access for Disabled People')

NB:If you have a Blue Badge for parking, and require a designated parking bay on the street outside your house, contact us and ask for the Highways office which covers the area where you live. See the 'Contact us' link under 'site tools' on this page.
