Motability is a registered UK charity which helps disabled people become more mobile. Motability enables disabled people to use the Higher Rate Mobility Component of their Disability Allowance (DLA) or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) to lease or buy a car or buy a powered wheelchair or scooter. A car can also be leased or purchased on behalf of a disabled child aged three or above. Select the link called Motability (below). Their website has a facility for locating local car dealers who are Motability specialists.

The Mobility Roadshow is a motor show for disabled people. It gives you a chance to see what's available and to try out the options. This is a summer event, held in both England and Scotland. Contact Motability for dates and venues.
