The Award
To study for this qualification candidates complete five (5) core mandatory Units and four (4) optional Units. The level 3 qualification is intended for individuals whose role involves carrying out administrative duties with a considerable amount of responsibility and autonomy. The individual will be contributing to the development and implementation of administrative services within the organisation, and have a substantial amount of administrative experience. Their administrative duties will include: contributing to co-ordinating administrative services, using IT to research, process and present information, developing effective services for customers, and dealing with financial information. To achieve the full award, candidates must complete nine units, including five mandatory units and four optional units.
Attendance
A ½ day introductory session will be held at Hertfordshire Development Centre or New Barnfield Training Centre. Further ½ day support sessions may be arranged as required.
Duration
The qualification is designed to be completed at a pace determined by the experience of the candidate and the opportunity for assessment. Generally candidates should aim to complete the qualification within 18 months.
Assessment
A qualified assessor assesses NVQs in the workplace against specified criteria in the National Occupational Standards.

Throughout the year, dependent upon demand.
