Aim of the Programme:
To increase your skills and confidence when interacting with disabled people and dealing with the issues that affect them. The day will include some time on the 2005 Disability Discrimination Act.
Learning Outcomes of the Programme:
o To develop skills and confidence in preparing documents on disability, working with and meeting people with impairments.
o Enjoy getting behind the headlines of the socially desirable responses expressed around disability to understand what is really happening and inhibiting social inclusion.
o Gain insights into the key features in the DDA 2005.
o Be up to date on what empowers and disempowers people with impairments.
