Watford Registration Office

The Mansion House at 36 Clarendon Road, Watford is now home to Watford Registration Office. It is situated a short walk from the rail and bus station and conveniently close to the major motorway networks.

An attractive and imposing Victorian residence dating back to 1889, the house has recently been extensively refurbished. It now provides a choice of two tastefully appointed ceremony rooms supported by, spacious waiting rooms and two private garden areas for wedding photographs. Car parking facilities are available at weekends.



For a larger ceremony we can offer the splendid Mansion Room which will accommodate up to 45 guests. This beautifully proportioned room with its high ceiling, intricate plaster mouldings and marble fireplace is decorated in a theme of deep blue and cream. Furnished with elegant period style furniture, gilt mirrors and candelabra, this room would certainly provide a fitting backdrop to one of the most important occasions in your life.

Alternatively, our delightful first floor Marriage Room with its graceful arched windows can seat up to 12 guests and offers a warm and intimate atmosphere for smaller ceremonies.
