Classical Music for your Civil Ceremony

When the law was changed to allow approved premises to be licensed for ceremonies few people envisaged how popular the new style civil ceremony would be.

Within Hertfordshire the aim is to provide couples with choices. First of all there are eight Register Offices and over one hundred Approved Venues. Then there is the opportunity to enhance the ceremony with readings and with music.



The CD “Classical Music for Your Civil Ceremony” makes choosing music for your ceremony easier. It contains twenty tracks of popular themes by sixteen composers such as Handel, Verdi, Purcell, Mozart and Clarke and includes useful sleeve notes.
It helps you put names to tunes, considers the various parts of a ceremony where music may be appropriate and makes suggestions for appropriate pieces.
