This youth project is for young people aged between 13years and 19 years. It offers a varied programme of activities which reflect the issues and interests of young people.
* Monday evenings have activities such as sexual health, photography and international cooking.
* Tuesday evenings focus upon sporting activities/ health and fitness and outdoor activities.
* Thursday evenings support and provide volunteering opportunities, the sessions are used to offer team building activities as well as training and support.
The programme is determined by the members and can offer accredited project work using Duke of Edinburgh Awards, AQAs., as well as some outdoor education qualifications.
All young people are accredited for their work, personal growth and development and are evidenced in their portfolios.
The venue is well suited to the varied activities on offer. The external area is fenced and used for football, team games and environmental studies. There is a very positive volunteering ethos at the project where the older young people are able to plan and deliver the programme of activities.
Young people should come along to the session and, after completing a registration form, can join in the activities.
The first session is always free!
