Grovehill Youth Centre (Hemel Hempstead)

* Opening times: Thursday from 7.00pm to 9.30pm.

* Costs: £1.00 entrance fee.

Thursday nights are for young people aged 13-19 and offer a wide range of activities and interests, which are decided by the young people. Young people can gain national recognised accreditation in almost any activity they wish including cooking, sports, music and arts, as well as issue based discussions and projects. The group are currently participating in sessions on Mexican cooking, glass painting, clay modelling, gang and street violence and a self defence workshop is planned for the end of term.

The project has a large room for group work and discussions, table football, pool, board games and listening to music. There is a large sports hall for activities such as football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, dance or drama. We have a small kitchen for basic cooking and food hygiene training. There is also an outside fenced area for playing sports activities such as football and basketball.
