Harpenden Youth Centre is in Vaughan Road next to Harpenden Library. Harpenden Youth Project is an open access provision aimed at young people with special needs aged between 13 and 19 years. Parents and Carers are requested to contact the Lead Worker in advance of attending the project so that any support requirements can be assessed.
Learn new skills and make new friends! With input of ideas and suggestions from young people, we provide a range of fun and exciting activities including trips and outings throughout the year.
If you are a young person and want somewhere to go to meet new people, have some fun with your friends and get involved in some great activities, such as dance, drama, cooking and sports then get in touch and get involved!
Facilities for people with disabilities:
Harpenden Youth Centre has limited accessibility for wheel chair users and those with limited mobility – the main entrance and exit can be accessed via a temporary ramp facility. There is no accessible toilet facility. Parts of the project operate on a raised section which is accessed by 4 steps and a handrail.
The staff team are equipped and regularly work with a diverse range of learning and educational needs and are keen to work with partners to support young people with sensory disabilities.
Please contact the project to discuss specific requirements to support individual needs and/or disabilities.
Parent/affiliated organisation: Youth Connexions Hertfordshire.
