The Clock Tower was erected in 1402-1411 and restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1866. The tower stands 77 feet high with 5 storeys and there are views of the city and surrounding countryside from the roof.
The Clock Tower can be found in The Market Place, near High Street (opposite Waxhouse Gate).

Opening Hours:
* Good Friday to mid September: Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays only, from 10.30am-5.00pm.
Accessibility: Because of the nature of the structure (access is via a narrow spiral staircase of 93 steps), it is not possible for physically disabled people to tour the building.
