Hertfordshire’s sole surviving windmill:
Cromer Windmill, Cromer, Hertfordshire, SG2 7QE (five miles north east of Stevenage on the B1037).
Opening times (second Saturday in May to second Sunday in September):
The windmill is open on the second and fourth Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 2.30pm to 5.00pm.
Cromer Windmill is fully restored, including its machinery for grinding corn. When the wind is right the sails will turn and the mill comes to life again.
Parking: Parking is free. Visitors are requested to park in the field opposite the mill.
Admission: A small charge is made, which also covers a guided tour.
There are no toilets at the mill.
The Trust acknowledges the financial support of Hertfordshire County Council and East Hertfordshire District Council towards the restoration work.
