Waddesdon Manor

This National Trust property is a magnificent French Renaissance-style chateau built (1874-89) for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to entertain his guests and display his vast collection of art treasures. It houses one of the finest collections of French 18th century decorative arts in the world, including furniture and Sevres porcelain, and works by Gainsborough and Reynolds. The garden is renowned for its parterre, seasonal displays, and the fully-stocked Rococo-style aviary. There are gift and wine shops and two licensed restaurants.

House (including Wine Cellars):
until 26th October Wednesdays-Fridays 12.00am-4.00pm; Sundays 11.00am-4.00pm;
(Wednesdays to Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
Bachelors' Wing: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12.00am-4.00pm).

Christmas season House: 12th November-21st December Wednesdays-Sundays & 22nd & 23rd December 12.00pm-4.00pm.

A timed ticket system to the house is in operation. Tickets can be purchased up to 24 hours in advance for a fee of £3.00 per transaction by calling the Booking Office on 01296 653226 (Monday-Friday 10.00am-4.00pm).

Children are welcomed under parental supervision in the House. Babies must be carried in front sling or hip carring infant seat.
