Harlow Playhouse

Harlow Playhouse has played host to hundreds of popular stage and TV names, in nationally acclaimed productions and pre-West End shows. Today it continues its reputation for quality drama, dance and music, offering innovative new works as well as much
loved classics.

Harlow Playhouse has two performance areas. The Main Auditorium seats 400 and regularly features nationally touring shows for all ages. It also features a stare-of-the-art cinema system to show feature films.

The Studio holds 120, and provides a more intimate setting. This is the regular home to local amateur dramatic groups as well as small scale professional touring companies.

Encouraging children to experience the arts, Harlow Playhouse has strong links with local schools, colleges and community groups. It offers shows with an educational slant to often provide the very first taste of theatre to children as well as a learning experience.

Harlow Playhouse also has both dance and drama stuios which are used seven days a week, allowing young people of all abilities the opportunity to enhance their skills in a professional environment.

Each Christmas the Playhouse presents a traditional Christmas Pantomine. Produced by a fully professional team, the Pantomime continues to be a much loved event for the community.
