The Old Town Hall is a leading regional small-scale theatre that offers the best of professional drama, music, dance, comedy and children’s theatre. Situated in the heart of Hemel Hempstead’s picturesque old town, the Old Town Hall has been a performing arts venue since 1978. It is a Grade 2 listed building constructed in 1852.
Over the years the Old Town Hall has hosted performances by Reduced Shakespeare Company, Jo Brand, Trestle Theatre Company, Ben Elton, Mark Baldwin Dance, Hull Truck Theatre Company, Clare Teal, Mark Thomas, The Royal Court, and Eddie Izzard to name just a few.
The Old Town Hall is also home to the Arts Education and Dacorum Live teams.
The Gallery Bar is on the first floor serving a full range of alcoholic, soft and hot drinks and bar snacks. Opening times: 7pm - 11pm on performance evenings only.
The Gallery Bar also features a regularlychanging programme of exhibitions by local, regional and national artists. Most of the work is for sale and can be viewed between Monday to Saturday 10:30am - 5:30pm.

Directions: From the M1 junction 8 follow down into Hemel Hempstead. Take the A4146 Leighton Buzzard exit from the Plough roundabout and then follow signs for the Old Town.
