Living Crafts 2008 - Thursday 8th May to Sunday 11th May from 10.00am to 5.00pm daily.
The 2008 Festival of Living Crafts will be a brand new experience for everyone as the show moves to the bespoke showground within Hatfield Park for the very first time. This new location will enable us to offer the widest ever variety of lectures and workshops, where you can try new skills for yourself, and spectacular demonstrations, all carefully laid out to ensure that you don't miss a thing.
Join us for Europe's largest and most prestigious craft event which has become a working showcase for the very best in traditional and contemporary British crafts. The range represented is enormous and includes traditional crafts that have been passed down through generations as as well as exciting contemporary crafts. Literally hundreds of craftsmen and women will provide a unique shopping experience with beautiful pieces that have been meticulously handcrafted in the UK. Many of our exhibitors accept commissions and are more than happy to discuss their work with you.
There will also be plenty of traditional entertainment to enjoy throughout the four days including maypole dancing, a puppet theatre, jazz and brass bands. Highlights for 2007 included a wildlife artist painting a live lynx and BBC Children's presenter, Mark Speight, running workshops for our younger visitors.
As one of Hertfordshire's largest shows - regularly attracting around 20,000 visitors - Living Crafts 2008 will give ou an experience to remember. Details of the special attractions will appear on the Living Crafts website nearer to the date of the show.

* Advance tickets - Adult £7.50; Senior £7.00; Child £3.50; Family £21.00.
* On the day - Adult £8.50; Senior £8.00; Child £3.50; Family £23.00.
Directions:
* By road: 21 miles north of London; 7 miles from Junction 23 of the M25; 2 miles from Junction 4 of the A1(M). Signposted from the A414, A1000 and major roads.
* By rail: Hatfield Station is opposite the gates to Hatfield Park (29 minutes to Kings Cross).
Accessibility:
Disabled toilets and access throughout the site, but bad weather can make ground conditions difficult.
