The Castle Hall is available to hire for many different functions; auctions, banqueting, dances, fairs, meetings, lectures, fashion shows, boxing, exhibitions and wedding receptions.
For concerts and plays the Hall can accommodate up to 400 people seated or up to 500 standing.The River Room is available for smaller functions and holds up to 60 people.

* Box Office: 01992 531500, Monday-Friday 10.00am-5.00pm; Saturdays 10.00am-1.00pm.
Bookings can be made in person at the Box Office or by phone and fax (Fax: 01992 531449) using Mastercard, Visa or Switch (certain conditions apply - ask for details). 39p is added when tickets are posted to you. An internet booking service is also available.
Catering Facilities: There is a licensed bar and catering facilities are also available.
Costs: Some performances at Castle Hall carry concessions which are available to under 16's, senior citizens, UB40's and NUS cardholders.
Appropriate ID will be required and concessions must be requested at the time of booking.
Directions:
* By car: From the A1 take the Hatfield turn off. Proceed along the A414 into Hertford. At the County Hall roundabout turn left into the Wash. From the A10 take the Hertford turn off. Follow the dual carriageway into Hertford. Turn left into Gasgoyne Way and then right at the County Hall roundabout into the Wash.
* By Train: regular services to Hertford North from Kings Cross, travel time approximately 45 minutes. Trains to Hertford East from Liverpool Street (under 1 hour). Both stations are within walking distance of Castle Hall.
Accessibility: There is an Induction Loop system. The Hall has drop kerbs at the entrance/exit. Disabled toilet facilities are available.
Facilities: Nearest public car park is at St Andrews Street. A footbridge has been built across the mill weirs to give direct access to the Hall.
