Townsend Lawn Tennis Club (St Albans)

The Townsend Lawn Tennis Club offers the following facilities:
* 8 Courts of which 6 are artificial grass and 2 are porour acrylic (3 courts floodlit);
* Practice wall.

There is an all year coaching programme for adults and juniors.

Seven men's and five ladies' teams take part in the Herts League and 1 mixed team is entered for the Watford and District League.

All standards of play are welcome on the following evenings in Summer:
* Monday - Juniors;
* Tuesday - Ladies;
* Wednesday - Men;
* Thursday - Mixed;
* Friday - Social.

A court booking system operates in Winter and there is also a winter floodlit league.

The club is open all year round and has a new Clubhouse and Bar with disabled facilities and access. A social programme runs through the year with barbeques, suppers, quizzes, etc.
