Sigma Rifle and Pistol Club has been established for over forty years and its membership is keen to promote the sport of target shooting. The club is affliated to two national shooting bodies: The NRA (National Rifle Association) and UKPSA (United Kingdon Practical Shooting Association). Safety is paramount.
The clubs range safety certificate allows us to use pistol calibre firearms only. Bisley and Military ranges are also used, at extra cost and this allows us to use larger calibre firearms.
Considering the location of the range, your own transportation is essential. The club welcomes prospective members from all ages above 14 but the ability to travel to the range is an overiding factor. Qualified instructors can provide the necessary traning and supervision to novices.
At least three months Probationary Membership must be completed before Full Membership can be considered. Only then can members apply for a firearms certificate from the police, possibly enabling them to posses their own firearms. The ability to purchase firearms will depend on a number of issues including character references and stringent security arrangements.
