Lee and Stort Navigations offers over forty miles of contrasting waterways. Suitable for walking, jogging, boating, canoeing, rowing, angling and birdwatching.
Explore the wildlife, scenery and history.

Many centres along the route offer lessons in canoeing and rowing. It is possible to hire a small boat, join a pleasure boat trip or dine on a restaurant boat.

To use your own boat on this stretch you must have a British Waterways River Licence.

Anglers must possess an Environment Agency rod licence, but may enjoy the backwaters, gravel pits and reservoirs. In some places you may also need a day ticket.

The river passes through Sawbridgeworth, Roydon, Parndon Mill, Broxbourne, Ware, Hertford, Waltham Abbey, Springfield.
