The Capital RING is a 72-mile circular walk in 15 stages, devised by the London Walking Forum, through London's parks, riversides, streets and woodlands. It is well-marked with Big Ben discs.
Walk 10 is just over six miles long and includes Fryent Country Park with a landscape of fields and hedgerows and the Brent Reservoir (Welsh Harp), a sanctuary for wetland birds and other wildlife.
Walk 11 is just over 5 miles long and goes through Brent Park, Highgate Wood and Queens Wood.
The leaflets for the walks give clear directions plus locations of underground and rail stations, bus stops, toilets, car parks and refreshments. It is available in Barnet's libraries and council buildings.
