Watford Football Club Community Sports & Education Trust

Using the charisma and positive power of football to promote active participation in sport and learning.

The Trust has recognised that football and other sports can play an important part in helping to promote and develop lifelong learning and healthy living within the communities it serves.

Working in partnership with local government, community organisations and commercial companies, the Trust had identified three main areas for its activity and development.

Football Development:

* Holiday and evening coaching courses
* Fetes, fun days and football festivals
* Player Development Centres
* The Girls' Centre of Excellence
* Coach education, training and recruitment
* Tots courses

Social Inclusion:
* Anti-racism
* Disability football and sport
* Drugs, alcohol and substance misuse
* Anti-social behaviour

Education through Watford Learning:
* Playing for Success and Carry-On Playing for Success
* Family Learning
* Inset training for teachers
* Work experience and work based learning
* GCSE, KS2 and KS3 SAT revision weekends and holidays
* Computer courses
* Numeracy and ICT mornings
* Adult learning
