St Albans Diving Club

The objective of the club is to promote diving at all levels - beginners, intermediate and advanced. The club welcomes members of all ages. Training in diving skills is provided by a team of coaches. Members are encouraged to follow the ASA Diving Skills Awards, enter competitions at inter-club, regional and national levels and join the diving squad when an adequate level is reached.

The club meets at the following times:

Sportspace Hemel Hempstead, Park Road, Hemel Hempstead:
* Mondays 6.00-7.00pm;
* Thursdays 6.00-7.00pm;
* Saturday 10.40-11.40am.

Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre, Holywell Hill, St Albans:
* Fridays 7.30pm-9.00pm.

The club is affiliated to the Eastern Region Amateur Swimming Association. The club is committed to attaining Swim 21 accreditation from the Amateur Swimming Association and has embarked on a three-year programme to meet its requirements.

The club has recently benefited from Lottery funding from Sport England.

The club hosts its annual open meet - the St Albans Dive In; on Saturday 10th May 2009. The club hosts this open meet at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre, St Albans. Entrants are expected from diving clubs throughout the South of England with up to 200 competitors.
